MINNEAPOLIS - Today, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) announced that Jean Heyer will join her team as District Director.

“I am thrilled to welcome Jean Heyer as our District Director,” said Rep. WASHINGTON–Today, the House passed legislation authored by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) to rename a post office location in Minneapolis, Minnesota after the late Charles W. “Chuck” Lindberg. Lindberg was a highly decorated U.S. Marine Corps corporal who fought in World War II and was one of the marines who raised the first American flag over Iwo Jima (not to be confused with aviator Charles Lindbergh). Lindberg’s military awards include the Silver Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon. He lived in Richfield, Minnesota for five decades until he passed away in 2007.
