Youth Advisory Council

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's Youth Advisory Council will engage high school students from Minnesota's 5th District, providing them the opportunity to interact directly with their government in a bipartisan manner. The council will offer student members insight on how a congressional office operates and a seat at the table to learn more about policies that directly impact youth. This unique opportunity allows high school students to get involved in civic action, develop leadership skills, and gain understanding of the legislative process. By empowering young people, this initiative fosters a more inclusive, informed and empowered community.
