“The Inflation Reduction Act is a historic bill. With the Senate’s passage, we are one step closer to passing the biggest climate bill ever, lowering drug prices, taxing wealthy corporations, and more. The bill includes a much needed tax on corporate buybacks of their own stocks, averts a benefits cliff by extending health care subsidies for 3 years, allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices, and would reduce carbon emissions by roughly 40 percent by 2030.

The Assault Weapons Ban of 2022 would prohibit the sale, manufacture, transfer, or possession of semiautomatic assault weapons and high capacity magazines.
