Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) introduced a resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives to recognize July as Muslim American Heritage Month, honoring their contributions throughout our country's history. The legislation was introduced after a constituent and local Los Angeles community organizer raised the idea of such a designation.
