Rep. Omar’s Statement on Meeting with Family of Israeli-American hostages

WASHINGTON—Congresswoman Omar met Thursday with additional family members of Israeli-American hostages held in Gaza. She reiterated her support for the release of all hostages held and for an immediate permanent ceasefire.

“Last week I was honored to meet with the family of an Israeli-American hostage still being held in the Gaza Strip. I reiterated my continued support for the safe and timely release of all hostages held by Hamas and for an immediate ceasefire and end to the siege of Gaza. The humanity of the hostages, along with all the innocent civilians caught in the crosshairs of this war, should be at the center of our efforts to bring peace and justice to Israel and Palestine.”
