Readout of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Budget Committee Meeting with European Parliament Budget Committee Members

Rep. Ilhan Omar joined her colleagues in welcoming Members of the European Parliament from the Budget Committee, including Johan Van Overtveldt (Belgium), Margarida Marques (Portugal), Siegfried Mureșan (Romania), Adam Jarubas (Poland), Eider Gardiazbal Rubial (Spain), Valérie Hayer (France), and David Cormand (France). The Congresswoman noted the need to raise the U.S. debt limit in order to protect the global economy. Additionally, the delegation shared updates on the European Union’s efforts regarding decarbonization, industrial policy, and emergency assistance to Ukraine.
