House Education and Labor Committee Passes Reconciliation Bill, including $15 Minimum Wage

WASHINGTON—The House Education and Labor Committee today passed their portion of the reconciliation bill through committee—providing much-needed support to state and local governments, along with millions of people across the country, and increasing the minimum wage to $15 an hour.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) gave remarks in support of the inclusion of a federal minimum wage increase in President Biden’s coronavirus relief proposal.
